After this, however, Longpigs seem to sparkle like a Versaille fountain of Perrier. It always seemed on the cards that Miles Hunt would return to the fray from the MTV sidelines. He's driven to perform; trouble is there's nothing to boot. "Fixer" sounds like nothing but The Wonderstuff ever happened. It clatters along with egotistical vigour but it's hopelessly outflanked by everything that's happened in music this decade. And if this is Vent 414, what can the earlier 413 efforts have been like?
