Hi All,

Well I had the strangest and most wonderful time at a gig last Friday!

I changed plan from going to see Vent 414 at York to Leeds and arrived with my mate and bought a great Vent 414 T shirt :)

At the bar was a cousin (in law) that I had not seen for years with a friend of hers. They had travelled a fair distance and had booked a hotel for the night so that they could see the band as they were such big fans! We couldn't believe that we could bump into each other at a small venue like that!

The gig itself was AMAZING!!!! :-) The crowd were really into the sound and it looked like Vent were really having a good time and the whole event was better than the other occasions that I had seen them. Miles seemed to enjoy the banter with the crowd and the whole atmosphere was like a party. My WS loving mate was very impressed with the whole thing. Having heard some of the new stuff I am more hopeful that Vent will have a long and happy time together :o)

Once the gig had finished we invited my cousin to another Leeds club rather than them going back to the hotel. Later in the evening (morning?) we spotted Miles in the same club just relaxing. The gig had been so good that I decided to tell Miles so I went over to him for a chat.

Miles was really cool and couldn't believe it when I told him that I had bumped into my long-lost cousin at the gig. I mentioned that I was going to mail to the list about the evening and wondered what his reaction would be. Miles asked if it was the Curtis Malasky list, and said that Russ passed stuff to him but he was in Spain at the moment. I was so gobsmacked that he was so cool about everything that I had to go and leave him in peace. I was grinning all weekend.

Simes.

PS. Where were all the critics when Vent were playing so well?

PPS. We should get " I know Curtis Malasky " badges made!

Editor's note: Don't you dare.
